Did I Hear A Flush?

Jenn and I can get in all sorts of predicaments. Once we were stuck in a snowstorm for over an hour. This would not have been so bad if we hadn't made our usual Sonic stop for Rt. 44 drinks. Man, I had to go to the bathroom! Since we were not moving at all, and she had a Honda Element, one of those Lego shaped cars, I decided to just go. Her doors opened out away from each other, so I opened both doors and just went. I forgot how high her car was and that the doors didn't really go down very low to the ground. Oops! I just hopped back in and pretended no one saw. Unfortunately, a moment later a guy tapped on my window. BUSTED!

Then there was the time she called on a 3 day weekend and said let's go to Lubbock. It was a 6 hour drive, but off we went. The fun part was going to be staying in a hotel. But the reason for such a last minute trip was that her friend with terminal cancer was not doing well.

I had my 5 year old granddaughter with me, so I was going to enjoy the pool while Jenn visited her friend. We did have a wonderful trip and everything was going well. Then Jenn started screaming in the hotel bathroom. She flushed the toilet at exactly the same moment her cell phone slipped from her fingers. Down it went never to be seen again. The hotel staff was not exactly surprised when we called to report the clogged toilet. Neither of us has ever taken our phones in the bathroom again. Don't believe it!

Jenn means more to me than just the potty stories I have shared. We work together at an elementary school and both have a heart for all kids. She is a friend I call when I need to share a funny story about one of my students or when life makes me insane. Everyone needs people in their lives they can call just to call, and I am blessed with a handful of friends who I know are always there for me. Thanks Jenn for being one of my people.

In Him,
Joyful
