40 Pounds Of Butter

40, you can't be serious, there are 40 pounds of butter in the freezer? What in the world will you do with 40 pounds of butter? My mom is a great bargain shopper and boy does she know her way around coupons and double coupon days. Sometimes she gets a little over zealous. I am quite sure she has enough disposable razors and toilet paper to take her well into 2030. All in the name of saving money and getting a great deal!

Ok, so I must admit the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Time and time again Ron reminds me that instead of storing everything I have stocked up on and dealing with jammed cupboards, I could just let the actual stores store the stuff for us. That way when we are down to our last 2 boxes of laundry soap we can restock instead of cramming 6 boxes in a space big enough for only 4.

Funny how we were both raised with parents who kept a well stocked house but only I yearn to overfill our cabinets. I am slowly weeding through the already purchased supplies and trying so hard to refrain from buying items for use in 2015. I suppose it is just tough to believe there will be enough at the store when we need it. Or maybe the worry is that they will triple the price and we won't be able to afford it any longer. Better to let it go bad and out of date in our pantries so we can throw it away later. Wait, is that saving money?

Guess my Mom and I are not the only 1s with this obsession for hoarding. If we were there would be no Sam's Clubs or Costcos with ginormous sized items. Who will ever use 50 pounds of graham crackers? Unless you buy the 20 gallon peanut butter to go with them!

In Him,
Joyful
