If you are going to bother taking a fat blocker wouldn’t you think you would want to eat fat so that it could block it? That was my thinking when Jenn and I bought Alli, a fat blocker. Jenn thought she should follow the directions and avoid eating fat. What? If you are not going to eat fat why spend all that money on a little pill to block the fat? I was so confused.
So whose logic was correct? Mine of course. Well, okay so the manufacturer agrees with Jenn but I am sure you can see my point. It is just that I like to get my $ worth. So as far as I could see neither of us succeeded in getting thin regardless of the approach.
Guess the only real answer to losing weight is eat less, move more. How many ways and billions of dollars are spent on variations of this concept. Even with all the new diet food technology and exercise programs, we all just seem to be getting bigger. So here we go again, doing what we dread, getting out the tennis shoes and pedometer. Weeding through the cupboards to get rid of the bad guy foods and stocking up on the healthy stuff.
Time to go it alone without the fat blockers just good old willpower and effort. Ugh! Maybe I should wait and start on Monday. It is a holiday weekend coming up after all. Ok, today!
In Him,

I am right there with you! Remember how crazy healthy Ryan wanted both of us to start getting just before everything? I prayed probably a week after he left & said "If you think I'm going to keep myself healthy and not eat my emotions - you are SO wrong!" I gained quite a bit back and keep having that "day 1 battle" too! I will pray for you to keep motivated! Love ya!
