Cheap Way Out? Really!

Cheap way out. Ryan's friend just posted that someone told her he took the cheap way out. It bothers me that someone would say that that didn't know him, but for this person who I thought loved him to honor those words broke my heart. If anyone knew Ryan they would know that he was always about giving and encouraging those around him. He did not take the cheap way out or the selfish way out. His action was that of someone who never believed he deserved the love people gave him.

This comment came on the heels of another of Ryan's friends asking if she could write a book about his life, addictions, and death. I have every confidence that this book will put us through hell reliving Ryan's life. There was so much joy and so much pain in my son's short life but I know his story as his death can be a lifeline to others who suffer with self doubt.

So my thought to the cheap way out comment is read the 'In Loving Memory of Ryan Barber' facebook page and see how this amazing man touched the lives of those around him encouraging everyone he met. You can bet when he lost 2 friends to suicide he recognized their pain and didn't call their actions cheap.

Remembering my son for the good he brought to our lives.

In Him,
Joyfully defending my son

Anyone that KNEW ryan knows he didnt take the cheap way out. Every time i have heard someone say that phrase about suicide It always seems to come from a snotty little rich kid that never had a real worry in their life (not saying thats who said it, just pointing out the connection). Ryan may have had his own demons, but that will never change how much we loved him and still miss him to this day. I will get with you after your reunion about the first chapter questions I need to start workin

    love you always
