Let Our Adventures Continue in Golden Nookie

The Beach Runner, formerly known as the Prairie Princess is sold. We spent the past eight years having adventures in this nineteen foot rv. It was our home when we were remodeling our house and took family to Pismo Beach when we had our fortieth anniversary. There were nine seatbelts that took adults as well as car seats together. Once it slept seven of us. My Mom and Hector both traveled and camped with us and now they share memories in heaven. It was hard to drive away and leave it with Fernando. The gift is that he is our mechanic and has kept her running these past years. He is thrilled to start his family adventures in her. So it is bittersweet to say good-bye to our perfect little home on wheels.

Ronnie B and I will move forward in our updated casita on wheels. The Golden Nookie is a 2000 Chinook that is way more modern and stylish that the Beach Runner. It gets better mileage and is perfect for the next adventures that we will embark on. It still can seat nine of us and that makes us happy. The kids now ride with us but rarely need a place to lay their heads. Last Christmas, we took Cam’s family of six with us to look at Christmas tree lights and it was cozy and perfect.

So off we go from one adventure to another on a slightly newer set of wheels. Our hope is to keep traveling and adding miles and memories as long as our now older selves can rack up miles. So far we are still in the adventure before dementia phase of our late sixties. Let’s hope It will be a decade or more before we need to turn over the keys to Goldie to a new owner. For now she is ours and we are wheels up in a couple weeks for Jessica’s wedding in Vegas and then on to Tacoma to spend a month with kids,

grandkids and Ron’s brother’s family. See you on the road!

Now to order an Adventure before Dementia sign for our spare tire.

In Him,

Joyful
