Felix Date with a Squirt of Whipped Cream

Felix lost his first tooth in kindergarten today. Such exciting news! We went to Sugar Rush Waffles and Crepes in Bremerton on a Noni/Felix date after school. It was the perfect date place. Games and sweet treats. The best part was Mohammad who waited on us. He is from North Africa and the nicest young man ever. He took our selfie. Wait, I guess it isn’t a selfie if someone else takes it. He took our picture. Then he filled Felix’ mouth with whip cream and his laughter had him spewing it all over the place. What almost six year old say he was hosed with whip cream from a man from Africa? It was such fun. Felix beat me at connect four and tic tack toe. We took lava cakes home for Auggie and his parents.

We gave Mo one of my books and wrote how much fun we had at his restaurant. He ran out and gave Felix a toy as we were leaving. This will definitely be a place we come back to when I am back in Washington in June. Pure joy along with a definite sugar rush. A perfect date before going home to write a letter to the tooth fairy. It seems quite interesting that kids get varying things from the tooth fairy, Santa, and even the Easter Bunny. But their belief is not affected by the discrepancy. Childhood innocence is magical.

Now I am over at my son’s house spending time with four year old, Millie, and her incredible teenage siblings. More fun to come.

In Him,
Joyful
