A joyful noise for a joyful life. I believe that if we live life in a joyful way, life will be full and satisfying. JOY: putting Jesus first, then Others, then Yourself. I have not always lived my life this way. At various times in my life I have neglected different aspects of this JOY concept. Balancing these three in my life has led me to peace, contentment, and a whole lot of JOY.

I am a 53 year old Young Life leader, wife for 32 years to my high school sweetheart, mother of 4 wonderful grown ups, and Noni to 4 terrific grandchildren. By day, I am a Special Ed. teacher at a local elementary school where hugging and encouraging our students is still acceptable. My husband and I live in a small community and are blessed to have our lives filled with young people. We have dedicated ourselves to scouting and Young Life as a way to be significant, caring adults in the young lives around us.

I am writing this Blog because over the years I have had such crazy and wonderful experiences, I feel it is time to share them with others. From our wild ride with private adoptions to raising 4 children who are so close in age, our lives have been a blessed adventure. Now I hope to share some of the fun, tearful, and heartwarming experiences with you.
