Look at That Tree

LOOK AT THAT TREE
HE'S FATTER THAN ME
AND HE'S HAPPY
STANDING IN THE SUN
JUST BEING ONE
OF GOD'S CREATIONS!

That is a poem I wrote when I was a senior in high school and weighed in at a mere 134 pounds. And yes, I thought I was fat.

Needless to say I weigh a whole lot more than that now and still worry continuously about my weight.

Why is it that we waste so much of our precious time here on earth worrying about silly things like how we look, who we are with, or what we have accomplished?

When we focus on loving ourselves just the way we are, we can free our minds to focus on what is really important. Our focus should be JOY------Jesus, seek Him out daily, Others, do for them even when it is not convenient, Yourself, spend time cherishing the good in you and forgive your faults.
