Cam's first day of preschool he learned something profound. Bunnies eat pizza! When we walked up to the preschool, they had a wonderful dirt area for the dozen or so bunnies that they kept for the children. So parents would bring leftovers to feed the bunnies. The day we arrived the bunnies were indeed eating pizza! So from then on when anyone would ask what bunnies eat, expecting the answer to be carrots, Cam would tell them bunnies eat pizza. And he was correct.
Kids say so many adorable things. We all think we will remember their cute sayings forever. Looking back it is hard to recall most of them. I do smile when something triggers a memory of my kiddos little sayings.
Ryan always got excited to go to the feater instead of the theater, to watch a movie. Tanner showed us where her wanted him to kiss her and then pointed to Baby Natalie's neck. Cam also informed me when I showed him the baby sheep that I was supposed to call them lambs. Natalie was dinkin when she was thirsty. My nephews both wanted to grow up to play baketball so they could shoot some hoops.
As kids grow up, we are sad when they start correcting the words that they once said so sweetly incorrect. With each improvement they step a little closer to maturity and away from their innocence.
Thank goodness for video cameras that record a lot of wonderful moments for us. At Thanksgiving, we all enjoy watching old movies of days gone by. Some embarrass us and some make us proud but it is all apart of being a family. We laugh and tease and enjoy our times together.
Now it is my grandkids who say precious things for their Noni to smile at. So I will just keep blogging to try to capture at least a few of those memories the video tape doesn't catch.
In Him,
Joyful
