Oh what a day
Oh what a day
My baby brother ran away
I'm 8 years old
and turning gray
Oh what a day
Oh what a day
Shel Silverstein
This was THAT kind of day! I am worried about my friend who just got bad medical news. I am not so much worried about her health as her heart. She needs to rest in God's arms, crawl up in the safety of his lap. Her health will be what it is. Her anxiety about her health is what concerns me. I love her so much and want her to know she is not alone. She does not have to go through whatever this will be alone. God will be with her through it. Her friends and family will be here to get her through this.
Skip Hietzig, at church on Sunday said, Jesus is not a crutch he leans on, He is the stretcher he lays his whole life on. That is what I wish for my friend, that she can lay her life on Christ. I don't want her to be alone. I will be there for her as will all of her friends. But who she really needs is God. He will be there to listen in the middle of the night and in the morning when she looks in the mirror and wonders about her future. God knows and He has the perfect plan. It is not for us to understand. We just need to believe and rest in Him.
In Him,
Joyful
