Enjoying 5 Year Olds

Kindergarten boys make me laugh. I have the pleasure of having 4 adorable little fellows in my class 1st thing every morning. For me it is like a giant playtime with these guys. It is my sole purpose to work on social skills, so what better way than to come up with crazy things for us to do.

Today we colored and cut holes in a huge water fountain box. At one point all 4 of my little critters were inside that box at the same time. We have built castles, laid like we were frozen on the bedsized beanbag, made forts out of pillows, and bounced around the classroom racetrack on our stability balls.

Every teacher needs kindergartners in their day. Don't get me wrong, I love my 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. But there is something that keeps me young and alive about these adorable 5 year olds. It is a blessing to start my days with them.

The good news is while we are bouncing around the room giggling together, I am getting paid. Pretty terrific deal!

In Him,
Joyful
