I Can Do This!

Today I felt necessary. When we get back in the swing of a new school year and start divvying up caseloads it is always exciting to plan for my new students. IEPs and meeting with their parents to get a clear understanding of what their specific needs are gets my educational juices flowing.

So, I was pretty upset last week when I felt that my talents were not being recognized. Well, today was proof that although the admin. may not get my strength at teaching reading it is clear that they recognize my special knack with kiddos who struggle with social/emotional difficulties.

My enthusiasm for this school year had definitely returned in the form of a little 7 year old whose family clearly adores him and will fight for the best education possible for him. Luckily, I am going to be a part of the solution for this little guy and for his family.

So good to feel prepared and confident!
