"I Will Carry You In And Give You Life"

"I swallowed the grave, on that night, when I drank the world's sin, so I could carry you in, and give you life. I want to give you life."  That is an amazing picture painted in my favorite song. Christ's love for me, for you, for us. He was willing to take our sin on his pure life to give us the hope of being with Him for eternity.

What do I have to do to earn this incredible gift? Believe. That's it. I don't have to do good works, although His love makes me want too. I don't have to pray, although His love makes me want to spend so much time in communication with Him. I don't have to be perfect, because He was perfect for me. I just have to believe.

God has made the perfect way for us to be in His presence for now and for eternity. His son was His gift and because of His sacrifice, I know that my son is enjoying a life I can only imagine. A life after this life that will be so much more than my mind is capable of imagining.

Ryan's death was too soon. I will forever ask why. But I will not get an answer, except he couldn't take the pain of this life any longer. Never again will I get to wrap my arms around the son I loved so dearly. But my anguish is not for my son, it is for me missing my son. My son is wrapped in arms far greater than my own. I can rest in the knowledge that my son is with His son and will be waiting in Heaven for the arrival of all those they cherish.

Tears continue to fall as I desperately miss my Scooter, but I know there will be a day when "He carries me in and gives me life."

In Him,
Joyful

  1. Romans 4: 4-8 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Saying, BLESSED ARE THEY WHOSE INIQUITIES ARE FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS ARE COVERED.

BLESSED IS THE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD WILL NOT IMPUTE SIN.

    You've got it Cuz!!!
