When my 4 year old granddaughter taught her 2 year old sister to do a super, spinning twirl it was adorable. What was even cuter was when their 15 month old brother tried to mimic them. He flapped his arms and we were all just laughing and having a grand time. The girls appeared a bit tipsy and walked sort of funny after their amazing spins.
Our little guy was having so much fun just playing with his sisters and I was thoroughly enjoying watching them enjoy each other. Suddenly, he really was spinning like the girls. Wow! After a few twirls across the living room he was an expert. That is when the game got out of hand. TD twirled so much he could barely walk and he bonked right into the wall. Tears and screams accompanied his confusion. 'Wait, we were having fun and now I am hurt. What's up with that?'
Of course that didn't stop him from rejoining the spinning game as soon as he recovered from the bump on his noggin. Predictably, he took off stumbling across the room like a drunken sailor and slammed right into the door jam. Now he was down right angry about this whole situation and not quite sure what was going on. So I comforted him and redirected the girls and him to coloring. Hopefully, this will be a more predictable, less painful activity.
In Him,
Joyfully enjoying my grandkids
