Going In Different Directions With Prayers

I will stay awake tonight praying. My son is on the road to Arizona for a fabulous weekend, and my daughter is on her way home from Austin, Texas. Tonight is a perfect night to pray for my children as they travel. Saturday we will leave for our train trip to Los Angeles and then a week in Santa Barbara. Traveling is a blessing as we step away from life and open our eyes to each other and new places. I so look forward to strolling on the beach as the waves lap the shore with such consistency. But in the meantime I peacefully pray for my children who are traveling.

The years of trip taking with our 4 little ones is gone, but I am thrilled that we have embedded the love of traveling in our kids. Now they are on the road with those they love. Though the trips are not with us anymore, they will take our thoughts and prayers with them. Just the act of praying for my kids is healing to me. I know that their lives will take them through rough times, but our hearts are always connected.

In Him,
Joyful
