More Than One Soul Dies In A Suicide

My amazing daughter, Natalie, turned 20 the day after her brother took his life a year ago. This year, at 21, she continues to amaze me with her heart. She has started a creative 365 project with her newly discovered love of photography. Most of us approach life by sticking our toe in the water when we try something new. Natalie blows me away because whatever she attempts she just dives into the deep end and feels secure she will be able to swim.

Her photo essay on her grieving the loss of a brother is powerful and moves me to tears. I could not be more sorry that she has had to endure this pain or more proud on how she is maturing through it. This daughter of mine has an intense faith and stands firm in her beliefs. Not only does she know God but she actively works to make Him known. I have had the honor through the years serving beside her in Young Life as she allows Christ to use her to lead young teens to Him.

In Him,
Joyful

“More Than One Soul Dies In A Suicide”

15 / 365
A year ago this month, my brother Ryan took his life
this is what's on the inside that rests, until provoked.

My pops used to say, if it can't be fixed with duct tape, it can't be fixed at all.

so what about this one?
