Snowing on May 1st what a sense of humor our God has. It has been an extremely dry winter in New Mexico so it is best to be thankful for whatever moisture we can get. But really, I have packed away my winter clothes and don't cherish the idea of 8am crosswalk duty with temperatures in the 20s. They say by Wednesday it will be back up in the 80s. Talk about highs and lows!
Luckily, we have what we need to stay warm and should be enjoying the fact that because of procrastination our garden is not planted. So bundle up in layers so you are ready for the warmer afternoon and dig out the gloves and scarf one more time. I won't tell if you can't find a matching pair of gloves this time.
Our trip to Austin and back took 27 hours of driving in less than 72 hours and we got all my daughter's things. We drove through a wind storm, dust storm, brush fire, heat in the 90s, rain, and finally snow on the way. It was so comforting to be home safely out of the car with the task completed.
All in all, it was a wonderful trip with one of my favorite human beings. Her taste in music is amazing as well so that was an added bonus!
In Him,
Joyful
