To Improve And Enhance The Lives Of Others

"Any talent, gift or ability you have, has been given to you to improve and  enhance the lives of others."
Thanks for this wonderful quote Lanessa from nurture by Lisa Bevere.

Tonight was Bloom~a wonderful event for ladies in our community to come together for a night out. Tonight there was the most adorable fashion show with models from 16 months to 10 years old. They were all so precious! As they walked down the catwalk in our beautifully decorated sanctuary it was sweet to see how some had confidence and sass while others were cautious or timid. One little lolly with  pretty blonde curls was just sobbing and there was no way Mom could get her to take even the first step.

Those of us from 16-86 years old out in the audience enjoying the festivities react to life in very different ways just as the little ones do. Tonight my amazing friend, Jenn, brought her ex husbands new wife, Annie, to Bloom. Some may question the sanity in this budding friendship but I say embrace friendship and build relationships wherever you can. I really liked Annie and I know she connected with Natalie having the bond of losing a close loved one. She told me how amazing my daughter was so she might as well know we are friends for life. I mean she obviously is incredibly intuitive about people because my Tillie is indeed outstanding!

Lanessa's talk on women nurturing each other touched my heart. As I feel God leading me to ministry of young adult women, I know that selflessly nurturing others is the way we draw near. Just as Jesus set the example to put others first as he walked on this earth. I just started reading a book called, Spiritual Mothering by Susan Hunt about women mentoring women.

As I started this blog over a year ago, I told you of the story of the woman who taught me to put others first even when, perhaps especially when, our lives are difficult. Focusing out to others rather than dwelling on your hurts makes life so much richer. Jesus example of washing his disciples feet at the last supper when he knew the reality of what lay ahead for him. He faced the cross but continued to teach us to reach out in all circumstances.

JOY~~~Jesus~~Others~~ then Yourself

In Him,
Joyful
