"You have reached the Barber's summer home, some are home, some are not!" That was our answer machine message every summer when the kids were all still living at home. It was a chaotic, fun-filled time in our lives with 4 kiddos and all their friends running in and out all day.
Tanner just moved home or should I say into the tent trailer in the back yard since Emmy, his lady love, is in his old bedroom. Their doberman/shephard puppy is here with them too. When you add that to Tillie returning home in April with her heeler mix and our maltipoo and 2 cats, I would say our summer home has filled back up nicely.
T and his friends spent the day fencing off a generous area for the dogs to be in when we have bbqs and so they don't bark at every other dog that walks by Noni's park. It brought back memories making them lunch and taking them drinks as they worked and hung out.
I love my little house filled with laughter and love of those who only come home for a bit in between life situations. Tanner and Emmy will probably only be here for a month or 2 and Natalie will be here for a year before moving to Santa Barbara. So I will enjoy every moment with my bustling house.
To make it even more fun, Monday I go to Arizona to bring back my mom and Lis for a couple weeks. So we will do a bit more bed shifting. Thank goodness Lis and Natalie want to bunk together. I may move to the camper van and give mom my bed since Ron sleeps in the hammock on the back porch in the summer.
Hope you all have a family filled, joyful summer! I know I will.
In Him,
Joyful
