Techno Game Night

A night of fun and games is always memorable! Last night while at Ron's brother's home we all sat around and laughed, talked and had a great time. Years ago a night of games usually involved a board game with dice but last night was different. We had the computer, 2 laptops, an ipad, and an ipod going yet somehow we were all interacting and enjoying each other.

There are some amazing free websites where you can play brain stimulating games such as coolmath4kids.com and learninggamesforkids.com. Each of these have hundreds of awesome games, jigsaw puzzles, and keyboarding challenges. Nobody here was able to beat Emmy's 72 words per minute with 97% accuracy, but boy did we give it a try! BCubed seemed to be Paul's favorite and he made it all the way to level 19 out of 30 in just a few short hours. Our 6 year old granddaughter, Lis, was right there playing, having fun, and improving with the rest of us.

Ron got Amber, our little artist, going on the drawing program on his ipad and she created wonderful images the rest of the night. Brianna came and went between the dining room, turned game room and texting and wii in the living room.

All in all it was an incredible night of family togetherness techno device style. The cool thing is after our visit is over when any of us plays these games again it will bring back memories of exploring them together last night. My thought is that new technology doesn't have to make us less social and last night was sure proof of that.

In Him,
Joyful

I need to take my coffee in the other room and practice my speed typing 54 wpm and 94% accuracy will just not do!
