Prayerful tonight and feeling guilty for not being proactive. I have had a lingering feeling of congestion in my throat since I caught my 3 year old granddaughter's cold in May. It has just been hanging on, not a bad thing just drainage. Well, now I am worried that I didn't get myself to the doctor earlier for an all clear. My mom is here and has pestered me to go get checked out. So I did what we all do these days and Googled 'chronic throat congestion.' It came back with phlegm throat cancer. What! I know this is not a huge possibility but I didn't think I was taking a health risk with nasal drainage. I do get my mammograms and such. So why am I feeling so guilty even without bad news?
Now that I know this could be a problem and not just an annoyance I am calling for an appointment in the morning. Just pray I can be at peace and find healing from what I expect is just a minor allergic reaction or irritation.
