Christmas Day 2012 was a lazy, relaxed day not because we chose to avoid the hustle and bustle but because all our little ones were not here. Cam, Brit and their 3 funfilled kiddos are following Christ's lead and just launched www.CalvarySouthSound.org in Lakewood, WA. Their faith and willingness to 'know Him and to make Him known' humbles me. Dorothy, Lissa and Hecter couldn't get away from work to make the trip out after all.
So Tanner, Natalie, Ron and I slept a bit later than normal, ate our traditional cinnamon rolls, and leisurely opened our gifts for each other. Then lazed around watching movies, drawing, spending a rare day in jammies from morning til night. We all grazed the day away, choosing not to have a sit down meal at all.
We were blessed that a few friends stopped by to visit and share the day. This was not the Christmas that we are used to but it was an enjoyable Christmas just the way it was.
Wishing everyone the Peace of Christ this Christmas but aware that so many have hurts or heartbreaks that are overwhelming.
