Courageous Mom Trusting This Noni

My trusting friend has honored me with the most special gift. She is allowing me to take her daughter on a brief road trip this weekend.  I am going to Arizona to pick up my Mom and granddaughter, Lissa, and Heather is letting Savannah come with me to surprise Lis.

Trust is the best word I can describe the heart of this mom. Savannah has special medical needs and can be fragile. This will be the first time she has been away from her mom. I know Heather is nervous about letting her go and how we will manage. But she is putting her fear aside and trusting that this will be a good thing. It will be a long weekend for this brave mom. To this family I am Noni. They have become part of my family in the past few years. Both our families have had some struggles and heartbreaking loss that has bonded us. This weekend means so much to me because of what it means about our connection.

I will do my best to keep in frequent contact to reassure her that everything is alright. This will be a growing weekend for all of us. Savannah and Lis are extremely close and spend so much time messaging each other and Facetiming.  The looks on these girl's faces when they see each other will be worth all the fretting.

Savannah and I are going to have a blast! We always have a grand time together. I am excited for the trip over as well as getting to pick up my mom and Lis.

Knowing the trust Heather is placing in  me to take her special child 400 miles away to another state means so much. Please pray for our safe travel and peace for this courageous mother's heart.
