Goodbye 2015~Hello 2016

We all try to sum up our years as good or bad as we bid adieu to another year. The truth is there are precious moments and times of grief in every year. Last year we lost Ron's mom in January which was a blessing and a sadness. The most important thing we can take from any year gone by is the lessons that it taught us.

I am grateful for the movie The War Room as it changed my Bible study and prayer time to make me more of a warrior for those I love. Times we were fortunate to spend with family is always one of the greatest gifts of all. This last year we got to see so much family at Mary's service and again at the Vigil family reunion. We even are ending the year with Natalie and Cam's family here for the holidays. Moments captured in pictures are the real rewards of life.

Mom, Lissa and I got to take an incredible 4 week, 5000 mile trek and visit family and see sights. What a gift! I don't know how many trips are in our future but feel beyond grateful for the time we had last summer.

Looking ahead into the new year we already have prayer concerns for our sweet sister-in-love, Cindy, as she faces a tough surgery in January for a brain tumor. 2016 will no doubt have it's own sorrows and joys. The fact that we walk in faith with family and friends is important in the good times and bad.

In Him,
Joyful

  1. Yes, each year comes with blessings, praise and challenges. I too loved the Warm Room! So impactful, would love to get the movie. Too bad we don't live close to each other-I think we'd be great prayer partners. I have a friend in Ca.(a 40+yr gal) who has two brain tumors-they are just trying to gain some time; hers are incurable. A 4 week trip-I could do that with hubby, but no one else-you are blessed.
May your day, week, month and New Year be blessed.
    Hugs,
    Noreen
