Yesterday my generous daughter took me for a beauty Mamma and me day. Oh how fun. We started out getting relaxing pedicures with cat eye color. They could have made a small pillow with all the callouses they scraped off my feet with the cheese grater. Then Starbucks to wake us back up and on to the mystery part of our day. Well it was a mystery to me. Natalie made the appointments so she knew where we were going and what we were doing. She even drove! I got a bit worried when she asked me if I had a high pain tolerance. We went into a place that did Botox, Brazilians and a whole bunch of Bs I had never even heard of. Now I was getting a bit concerned. What she had planned was for me to get my nonexistent eyebrows tinted. Who knew they actually tint your skin along with the sparse hairs in my brows.
It was so relaxing but when I looked in the mirror it was a bigger change than I anticipated. Natalie assured me they were perfect. Ron didn’t even notice so I guess I didn’t look like I needed a red nose to go along with them. Now I am excited and will start wearing mascara again to highlight my new eye beauty.
It was such a treat to spend the day with my girl and just be together. We don’t do that nearly enough. It needs to be on the calendar just like date nights were for Ronnie B. and me. Another exciting development is that Natalie is seriously considering taking classes to become an esthetician. I need to press her to get all the specifics so we could turn this dream into a reality. Who knows, we may get to spend some time hanging out with Pat in Albuquerque if everything works out. Good thing she still has my personal bedroom in her dining room. I need to spend more time there as well. This may be the perfect opportunity.
