Living our Life,Taking our Time

Our shower is completed after years of waiting. It is beautiful and just like we envisioned. Some friends focus on the time it took us to get it done  I focus on the fact that it is completed  It was no hardship showering pretile  

Some think I am just saying it didn’t bother me that at the end of our remodel the few details left to complete are not getting checked off our list. But the truth is our home is beautiful, inviting, and home just as it is. The projects left will get done or they won’t. Forme the important point is that Ronnie B and I are enjoying life together. Traveling, visiting and spending time together far outweighs whether the stairs have railings or there is a fireplace insert in place. 

When our kids were little and we were younger it was exhausting how driven we were with completion of home improvements. The projects got finished as we barked and snarled at one another. That growling no longer exists as we put our priorities in the right order. Believe me, we will enjoy our gorgeous shower. But taking our time, even if it is years, makes getting the project done even sweeter. If our shower looked like this years ago, we wouldn’t even notice how beautiful it is anymore. So please believe me that I appreciate our more relaxed approach to diy projects even if there are something’s we never get around to completing. At least our kitchen is no longer on the back porch. See we do get things finished.

Better to spend a month in our rv together than stressing over perfection at home. At least that is how I truly feel. Believe me.
