Said Yes And Was Blessed

This blog has been a blessing in several ways. Through it I have enjoyed reminiscing about the past and sharing happenings as they are unfolding in  the present. This blog has made me smile and brought a curtain of tears as I set down the blessings and heartaches of life. New connections with people have been created through these posts and well loved people have come back into my life. Sharing my heart on an almost daily basis has been an incredible gift to me and hopefully has touched others in a positive way.

This blog was started as a tool to help someone else replace the unhealthy addiction to cutting with the power of writing. Writing everyday and being accountable to each other would help her put down the blade. She still struggles to turn away from the pull of cutting everyday, but she is brave and has so many who love her and want her to succeed. Writing her story may someday reach others with her courage and success.

It feels like this writing has helped me in more ways than I can list. Putting the stories of my life down will give me a permanent record of how my faith, family, and friends see me through this wonderfully woven life of mine. My faith has grown through this process and the evidence of God's constant presence in my life encourage me to look forward with enthusiasm. His promise is not that life will be easy but that it will be filled with love and laughter as well as tears and heartache.

I am thankful that I said yes when God put this idea in my heart to write with my 9th grade friend. Being faithful to writing has brought out stories that I will be proud to leave for my kids and grandkids. This Noni can smile and know that the love in my heart for each of them will be crystal clear as they read of times that meant so much to me.

In Him,
Joyful
