Uggggh!

Summer cold? Now that sounds like an oxymoron. Summer warm works but summer cold just sounds wrong and certainly feels wrong. Getting out the Vicks, Nyquil, and box of tissue in July doesn't go with my idea of swimming, camping, and barbeques. But here I lay miserable with congestion, cough, and all the aches and pains.

The other weird thing about getting a cold is how you can be perfectly fine 1 minute and your lungs can squeeze shut and your throat is on fire the next. This lovely cold did not come on slowly but with a sudden wonk to the head and chest. My hope is that it will exit just as abruptly as it showed up. Until then I will lay in bed and cover my cough. This is 1 thing I think everyone will be glad if I choose not to share with them.
