Innocent Newborn

A brand new baby in my house makes me smile more often. J and her daughter are staying with us a few weeks until there condo is ready, and they brought along J's sweet little granddaughter who is just a week old and beautiful. No one can be in a bad, sad, or grumpy mood when their are the sweet sounds that come along with a newborn. It is God's way of cheering up even the most dark heart.

This adorable, little 1 is particularly cute and cuddly. She squeaks when she eats and makes the most amazing faces. It warms my heart to watch her stretch her miniature arms and legs as she arches her back. Her antics keep us entertained for hours, lost in the wonder of her perfectness.

Babies, especially brand new babies make it necessary to slow down and just enjoy the moment. Whether you are feeding her, rocking her or just silently watching her sleep. The hours slip by as the anxiety of life drifts away and is replaced with a sense that all is right with the world. If God can create such a delicate life and gift us with her, then He can walk beside us through whatever life throws at us. Perfect peace, peace beyond all understanding is what He promises us. Looking into this innocent face I am sure of His promise and His incredible love. We just need to slow down and wrap our hearts around them.
