Garage sales are a pain! You go through your stuff and realize how much money your waste on stuff you really don't need or use and it all just clogs up your house. The amazing thing is the man in the house thinks the lady's stuff is expendable and of course she thinks his stuff is. We really don't see our own clutter as much as we see other peoples. Then feelings get hurt and tempers flair. For what? A few lousy dollars and empty cupboards and closets that you will probably refill even though you wish you wouldn't.
It would probably be better to just weed out as you go along and donate your unneeded items to a charity.
The ordeal of the garage sale is exhausting. My mind says if I am going to bother having 1 I might as well go through everything I own, put up way too many signs and have enough change in case all 20 customers come with $100. bills. Of course, it is also important to have an enormous selection so I go out and encourage all my friends to participate even if they don't want to. I mean if I am going to suffer might as well have company. Then they have to lug all their stuff over to my house and pack up what they don't sell at the end of the day. Which basically means they have had to suffer more than I did when it was my idea in the first place.
I will have an update of how the yearly Barber garage sale went Saturday. Unless of course, we are blessed with rain and just pack it all up and donate the whole mess. You can bet I am not putting any of this stuff back in the house to do this all again.
In Him,
Joyful
