Kidney stones are about 10 times as painful as diverticulitis but even this pain is unbearable, just not gnaw your arm off pain. When I look at the wise internet medical advice they don't necessarily correlate high stress with kidney stone and diverticulitis but at least in my body they go hand in hand. The first kidney stone I ever had was a really lousy Mother's Day when I didn't see my son and the next was on my 50th birthday when one of my son's held a not so legal party while I was away.
My first bout with diverticulitis was last May when we went to Denver to get Ryan's things. Now it seems I am fighting another intestinal infection 8 months later with the holidays approaching. It is clear to me that my body tenses up and protests when my emotions are high.
The good news is I already have a substitute and sub plans for tomorrow. The bad news is I am supposed to be in reading training all day tomorrow. So I took a few pills and will see if I feel better or worse in the morning. Either way, I thank God for Dr. Jimmy and his compassion and care for me and my family. I thank God for medicines too.
In Him,
Joyful
