Ron and I have had the house empty for 2 and a half weeks. I think that is a new record for our empty nest. The good news is yesterday we learned that Emmy is probably going to move in the middle of April, Tanner the 1st of May and possibly Natalie and Ron's mom sometime this spring.
So once again our house will be a buzzin' not just from the wonderful park in our backyard but inside as well. Emmy just needs a place for a month or 2 and T will likely just be around until she leaves. Our prayer is that Ron's mom would decide to move in with us permanently. She is 87 and lives alone on 5 acres and gets pretty lonely. Natalie's hope is to find a live-in position in Santa Barbara and go to continue school there.
I love that our home can be a stopgap for the people in our lives. The past couple of years have been so much richer with our lives becoming so closely connected with those who have stayed a few weeks or few months with us. God has given us so much through these relationships and the moments we have shared. It makes me so grateful. What joy!
In Him,
Joyful
