Lissa goes home on Saturday. Oh how I will miss this little 7 year old bundle of love, adventure and curiosity. We have had an eventful summer with the trip to Seattle, 2 reunions, and an evacuation which thankfully did not burn our home down. Our time together is always so special with our granddaughter. She is such a helper and entertains herself when she is not making friends at the park behind our house.
I love how she plays school, office, or saleslady. It reminds me of when Dayna, my bff in grade school and I let our imagination carry us out of the bedroom and into whatever situation our minds thought up. Such great memories!
Lissa accompanied me to get all the stuff for my classroom and found a great costume sale for $5. each. So she marched around Albuquerque's downtown as Blueberry and then Hannah Montana. People all just had to smile at how adorable she confidently pushed the cart for me. (Drives me crazy but she always wants to push the cart!)
Ron is taking her back to AZ on Saturday then I start my new class assignment on Monday. Life will get busy but we will chat on the phone. I just wish she and Dorothy could live close. But I am thankful for all the time we get with her and all the memories that we share.
In Him,
Joyful
