Grieve Honestly

‎"'I wouldn't have chosen it, but since it did happen, I chose how I was going to respond to it.'" Keeping God close is my comfort and strength.
Oh how I miss his ornery laugh.

Grief comes in waves. Talk to a couple close friends about your loss.
We lost our son to suicide a year ago. I still have days when I need to crawl under the bed, days I can laugh about how wonderful our times together were, and days I need to punch something. Faith, family, and friends get us through each storm in life. But being honest about how we are and what we need is extremely important. In most situations in life we try to just buck up and push through but with grief it is so important to honestly allow yourself the healing.

  1. My heart goes out to you and your family. I can only imagine...

But I do know about grief and agree with everything you said. It definitely comes in waves. I wrote a poem about the waves of grief once. So very, very important to talk about it, write about it, pray about it and allow yourself to cry, shout, scream, whatever it takes to get through those waves.

Praying for peace and healing for you and your family...((Hugs))...
