My life mission. Ron and I are starting leader training Thursday night for 'Celebrate Recovery'. A couple years ago I believed I would be a Young Life leader the rest of my life working with middle schoolers. Then God tapped me on the shoulder to reach out more to 20 something young ladies. Now he has placed both hands in my back and gently pushed me in the direction of 'Celebrate Recovery' to put a method to my outreach. I pray He can mold me into someone who can make a difference for women are struggling with early adult issues.
Lead where He follows. His plan is not always our plan but quietly listening can bring incredible JOY in life. I pray I can be bold, brave, and listen for His direction in all areas of my life and His ministry.
In YL they say being a leader will be so tough that we never try to do it alone. Working with the challenges young women face will be tough but I am not in this alone. It is not that I am qualified but that I am willing to reach out.
Please pray for my courage and comfort through this next journey God has placed my feet on. Amazingly, Ron is called to reach out in the same way to young men. What a gift to be embarking on this adventure together. God has indeed healed our lives for greater purposes.
