Happy 17th Amber!
Happy 60th Susi!
Two of my most favorite people share a birthday a few decades apart.
It must be something about their day that makes them so close to my heart.
They share a passion for life and a love of nature.
Each is creative, talented, and fun.
Amber is beginning her journey with so many possibilities for the future.
Susi is enjoying a life of giving, teaching and touching others.
Amber will graduate this year from high school
and see where God takes her for the next chapter.
Susi taught 2nd and 5th grades for over 30 years
and now shares her days with train riders in Silverton, Colorado.
I could embarrass both of them with stories that bring a smile.
But they will just know that I am remembering times we shared.
Bringing up fields of flowers in Point Reyes or
shenanigans in Puerto Penasco on the beach are probably better left unwritten.
But each of you knows how much those memories mean.
Would you?

Happy birthday to two incredible ladies who embrace life.
