My Two Pats for the Weekend

What a wonderful weekend we have had with Pat up from Albuquerque and my mom, Pat here living with us. We have been watching old tv shows and laughing it up. I think Mom’s favorite is Andy Griffith show but Family Affair and all the others have been such a joy. It was fun watching the first shows and seeing how they unfolded. What a gift Amazon Prime is for including all these old, familiar favorites.

Jenn and Donna both came over for a visit and we got to catch up. I miscommunications in my text so Donna didn’t know Pat Johnson would be here so she was pleasantly surprised. This was a weekend that I got to cook in my new kitchen and enjoy having friends and family in my home. I am beyond thrilled to be so close to finished with our year and a half remodel where we had nobody in our home. I forgot how much I enjoy cooking and sharing with my friends. Yesterday we even had breakfast at the peninsula in the kitchen. So fun.

Last night we had the pleasure of having five year old Lennon here for the evening. What a cutie. She  picked up calling mom Grandma Pat and Pat Johnson, Pretty Pat. She kept calling Kylie~Charlie which was so cute. This little one was the icing on the cake of this weekend bringing smiles and laughter. I am excited to have her become more of my life. It will be sweet to have a little one here to bake with and to call me Noni. Pretty Pat became Pretty IPad then Pretty Tablet as the evening went on. Lennon is definitely a hoot.

I am so grateful that the weather allowed Pat to come up and spend time with Mom and me. This is God’s way of saying that leaving teaching won’t leave me lonely but will allow me to fill my home and my days with all those I love spending time with. It is my job to believe He has a new path for me that will not be lacking others but will be full and fabulous. This weekend was a precious glimpse.
