FAT BOMBS
So fat bombs don’t really conjoin up diet food. But I have been stuck in my weight loss on Keto. So I am ready to be obedient and not only add butter to my coffee so called bullet coffee but add fat bombs throughout the day. Yesterday I made two kinds of fat bombs, put them in ice cube trays and put them in the freezer. They are delicious and so filling. The idea is that the extra fat will sustain my feeling of fullness and give me most of my calories from fat. Keto is not just low carb but also high fat. I know. I know. Eating fat to lose fat, WHAT? But it works.
I ran across the street barefoot to take Jenn my new creations. She was in the shower but I couldn’t wait. So I handed her a berry fat bomb through a crack in the shower curtain and warned her not to post that I was that familiar. It makes me laugh that this morning I was compelled to over share just what I asker her not to share. She agreed that these were delicious.
So I thought I would share how I made these two different delectable. First use a blender or bullet to thoroughly blend them then pour them into a ice cube tray that is sprayed with Pam, then freeze and put into ziplocks after frozen.
1. 2 cups frozen berries
6 oz. butter
8 oz. cream cheese
That is it.
2. 1 cup almond butter
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup baking cocoa
That is it.
Both recipes said I could add artificial sweeteners but I prefer things less sweet not more. It occurs to me that these high fat bites are also good for my mom who eats very little these days. I actually added frozen berries to her strawberry ensure and she loved it.
