How Big are Box Springs Supposed to be?

I ordered our California king box springs from Amazon. Crazy to think that they could deliver such a large item but they did.  When it arrived it was not large but surprisingly small. Probably the size of couple of soccer chairs that we all sling over our shoulder. It didn’t make sense that this could actually be our box springs, let alone a king size one.

My granddaughter, Elissa, was staying with us. When she saw the box and I told her what was supposed to be in it, she wasn’t convinced. Her question to me was, “Do you know what a box springs is, Noni?” I assured her that I absolutely know what a box springs is. We had some errands to run so we left the box in the carport thinking we would open it when we returned. As we drove to our second stop, Lissa looked over at me and said, “Tell me what a box springs is, Noni.” Her disbelieve that a box spring could be in that too small box made her question if I truly knew what a box springs was. I broke out in laughter. Like Lissa I did not understand the size of the box but I did know that I had ordered a box springs and that was it.

When we opened the box that afternoon we found a pile of metal pieces, some fabric and a booklet of instructions. OH, we had to build our box springs. Now it made sense. Matt came over to help us out because we couldn’t quite figure it out on our own. So we laughed through the assembly of our now plenty big enough purchase.

In Him,

Joyful
