We all have Easter memories, Easter traditions that are such a sweet part of our lives. Celebrating the incredible love of Christ with family and friends is so sweet. I do my best to focus on the years we had with our kiddos at home and put aside the Easter from nine years ago that was the last one with my Ryan. A silent prayer to be thankful for the time I had with him for his twenty four years gives me a moment to reflect on our loss but then I think of the gifts he left us with his family. What a blessing our Elissa is and her Daddy sent her an Easter dress that last Sunday of his life that still hangs in my closet.
This year we will sing our hearts out at church and call our families later to hear of all their egg coloring and hunting. The joy in their voices will brighten the day just as the sunrise did this morning. Our hope is in Him and even though life has its moments that seem to difficult to bear, we never walk alone. I love seeing the Easter pictures and wishes on Facebook. What a gift family and friends are as we celebrate this Spring day when Jesus gave all that he had to make it possible for us to be close to Him.
Happy Easter to each of us.
In Him,
Joyful
