We have five adorable kittens at my house. I fell in love with this mama cat that is now named Piper. Her owner told me he needed to find a new home for her but she was pregnant. So I have been blessed with the most loving cat and her little ones. I posted on Facebook for people to come cuddle them and I have had a stream of ooohs and aaahs at my house as families have stopped by to give them a squeeze. Everyone says they would rather have the mama because she is beautiful, sweet and has an amazingly loud purr motor. That speaks volumes to my Piper that she would be desired over her wee ones. The kittens have all been spoken for but in the next couple weeks while we wait for them to grow, I hope to share their cuteness with as many people as I can. What a gift this is to bring joy into my home.
A lesson I learned from being a Young Life leader was to always include others when possible. Like if you are going to get supplies or doing yard work you can ask a kid to join you. The conversations aren’t just rich over a Starbuck’s latte but can be spoken over rebuilding a carborator or organizing a new kitchen. Too often in our busy lives we forget to open up our homes and our hearts to others. I would have been so sad if I would have thought of telling my community about the kittens after they were gone. Sharing them has been as big of a gift as sitting with their cute faces in my arms. If you need a smile you can see them on Facebook Barbara Friedman Barber. Even Miss Jenn posted pictures of one snuggling her neck.
In Him,
Joyful
