Cozy to Chilly to Cozy Soon Enough

It is so cold in our home this morning. A part went out on our heater. Brrrrrrr! I am typing with frozen fingers and taking breaks to hold my warm coffee cup. We have five electric heaters going around the house but they aren’t doing the job our boiler does to heat our home. Hopefully we will be toasty by this afternoon and can get back to our cozy lifestyle.

So many things in our life are taken for granted. When we turn on our faucets out comes clean water that we can choose warm to do dishes or cool to take a pill. Our light switches brighten our rooms and can even dim to set just the right mood. We can even tell Alexa or Google to remember shopping list items and remind us of our ‘to do’ list. At a moments notice she will play our favorite Christmas carol and set a timer for us to get off the couch and get our ‘to do’ list started.

It occurs to me just how comfortable our lives are and how much we take our creature comforts for granted. Probably having a chilly morning at home will remind me just how fortunate we all are for living the life we so enjoy. But oh how I look forward to a cozy home this afternoon.
