Super Bowl Baby

Super Bowl Sunday is upon us. People who don’t even like football gather to cheer for a team that they don’t know. What is magical is that we get together, eat too much food and have a great time. Pick a team any team unless your favorite is in the game. Sometimes we are rooting against a team who is a rival to our team or one that just annoys us. It is a bittersweet day because it is celebrated but it also is the last game of the year. We now must wait months for football to begin again.

This year the two competing teams are both deserving of the win. The hope we have is that the game will be close. It is always a great game when it comes down to the last few seconds or overtime to decide the win. We all hope for that successful Hail Mary pass to decide the game. If it leads to overtime that is all the better. Unless of course it is your team who is ahead in those final moments.

The other hope is to be with people who can combine conversation, munching food, along with actually watching the game. After all, we won’t be seeing football for a few months. It is the last time to get our fix. Happy Super Bowl people. Don’t celebrate so much that you can’t make it to work on Monday. No one believes you got the flu or came down with the sniffles. Enjoy!

In Him,
Joyful
