Ami's Smile is Full of Love

Ami is an eight year old inspiration. She wrote out the word LOVE with game pieces at Cracker Barrel yesterday. This sweet grandgirl of mine always has a smile on her face. She lost her Daddy in December and then there was a house fire that destroyed all her things in February. Nobody should have that kind of loss in a lifetime and especially someone who is so young. Don't get me wrong, Ami can get sad when life gets hard. But her go to emotion is joy. She delights in the small things like these game pieces.

She wanted spaghetti and silly Noni didn't check but assumed that would be on this menu. Ami just ordered pancakes without complaining that her first choice was not available.

I want to be more like Amalia and see the LOVE in life rather than wallowing in what doesn't go my way. Her Noni did let her pick a treasure out of the Cracker Barrel store to make up for not checking the menu online. Ami is flexible and spends time with three sets of grandparents. What a gift that her Mom and Dad included Ron and me in her life. I can learn a lot from this sweet little lady. Of all the words she could spell out she chose LOVE. That love in her heart is what keeps that sweet smile on her face. That makes me smile.

In Him,

Joyful
