Ronnie B. came home from an archeology trip with an incredible painting that Lay painted almost thirty years ago. It is a masterpiece and I am thrilled that it will live in our home. The painting is of Tulum in Mexico. This scene brings up so many memories of our trip there.
Ron and I went their in 1984 right after our first adoption ended after having Logan in our hearts and our home for two months. It was crushing but we lost our son to his mother's love. We could have gone to court but adoption should be a win-win for both families. God knew just what birthmoms and kiddos were meant to be ours. So you can see that this beautiful image of a time we flew off to heal our hearts after such a great loss was a welcome reminder of how God turned our broken hearts into a home filled with kids and grandkids.
Thank you Lay for creating this gift that will be a part of our lives forever. It will be a reminder of how even at our lowest points in life there can be next steps.
In Him,
Joyful
