I just witnessed the most beautiful Godincident. The past two weeks I have been in Arizona helping my grandgirl move into a new place with her hubby. This week I have been helping empty out my mother-in-love's home since it has been sold. The past seven years it has been an Airbnb so it has everything from linens, fully stocked kitchen to furniture. There is also a basement with Nana treasures that were not accessible to the guests who enjoyed the space.
A couple months ago our daughter-in-love's mother lost her home to fire. She needs everything from linen's kitchen items to furniture. See the Godincident? We have been cleaning out and setting up an estate sale that starts today. But yesterday Connie came and took anything and everything she needed to start over. What a gift that we had all of this to give at just the right time. Coincidence? Absolutely not! This was a part of a bigger plan. The estate sale will be a little lighter than it would have been but all that she took and our grandgirl carted off for her new home is just where these treasures were meant to be. Trust me there is still plenty to sale today.
The other beauty in this is that we are able to stay in Nana's house one more week with Ron's brother's family and cousin Clara because they are leaving the beds, lamps, towels and microwave until the end of the week. Last night we watched reel to reel movies of my husband's family in Ecuador decades ago. What fun it was to see these sixty somethings enjoying life as youngsters. Seeing Dan and Mary and Bob who are enjoying heaven caused us all to smile with the sweet memories that were shared in South America and especially here in this home. We all grew up over a cup of Nana's thick coffee, a pot of her chili beans or a bowl of Golden Grahams. This week diet aside we all ate Golden Grahams and his favorite pastries for breakfast. Sweet memories and a whole lot of work.
The house will be emptied and cleaned by the end of the week. That is another blessing that we have cleaning staff from the airbnb so we don't have to clean after we rid out the house. It sold to a friend of the family so we don't have to say goodbye to this place. Garret will include us in his new adventure in Nana's house. He wouldn't agree to keep the elk on the wall but he will put his own touches on this to make it his home. There will be a few more movie nights this week and then we will go back to our own life's knowing that God had this plan for Nana and Papa's home and the stuff in it all along. That is way cool!
In Him,
Joyful
