Open Heart Recognized

 [=]’

Oh Pastor Shawn sees my heart. He had a few of us up on the stage to sit at the last supper and treated us as disciples. My biggest hope in life is to share my relationship with Jesus. It was a powerful moment as he shared my love for young women and so many others in our community. All our times with others are not always happy ones. God gave me a special heart for other moms who lose a child or have an addicted one. The point of his message was that each of us has opportunities throughout the day to show others who is right with us moment to moment. Jesus. I am so grateful that I get opportunities to share His love for me and how He also loves every person everywhere.

The fact that Jesus came to serve and to save is the example each of us needs to follow. He was never in a rush but took time to pause if someone needed His healing touch. Boy, do I want to live less driven to accomplish more and miss others in my path. Slow down, look into faces whether in the aisle of the grocery store or playing with a grandkiddo at the park. Connecting with others matters. Seeing others matters. Serving others matters. You never know who needs an encouraging word from you or perhaps will give you the encouragement you need.

At the end, Pastor Shawn bent down before us and washed our feet while sharing with the congregation just how we have impacted others with our open hearts. It may have taken me until my second half of life to really be available to others. Boy am I glad that this time in my life I choose to live this way. It is so true that we get more than we give. Si true in every situation.

In Him,

Joyful
