Emotional Support Hubbies are the Best but Please do not Pet!

Good friends are such an important part of our lives. Getting together for breakfast or taco Tuesday to just hang out with one another is key. John and Kristi are such a gift to Ronnie B and I. Here we are both married couples for decades and still enjoying each other. Kristi and I bought John and Ron these t-shirts. They say what is true in our lives. Emotional Support Husband-Do Not Pet. Yes, they are silly shirts for sure. But they are also speaking truth. John and Ron are support for us. I have a hard time going places unless Ron is by my side. Life has not been easy for either of these two couples. We have been challenged with children with addictions and the consequences and worry of that reality. But we have stayed strong leaning on our spouse for love and support. Tears of joy combine with tears of sadness and frustration. But in the end we have each other ready for a hug and support.

I am beyond thankful to walk through life with couples like John and Kristi. It makes life so much richer. Ron has a breakfast club list of people we try to go out with on Saturday mornings. Sharing our lives with others is just the best part of being empty nesters. No more t-ball games or ballet lessons just a sense of relaxation along with time to sit and share our lives with others. Ron just joined me in the sixty-nine year old club and tomorrow is our forty-eighth anniversary. A life spent together through the good, the bad, and definitely the ugly. But here we are standing together and enjoying the family we have created. God is good to us through all of it. Thank you John and Kristi for being a part of our lives. We absolutely adore you. And I promise not to pet your emotional support hubby but I can’t promise anything about my Ronnie B.

In Him,
Joyful
