Happy Sounds Through My Window

Happy sounds, family sounds, kids laughter, these are the sounds I am blessed with everyday all summer long. It is so awesome to live right on a park in a super safe neighborhood, where I am the cool Mrs. B with a giant basket full of sand toys.

In other towns, people may look at you funny or suspiciously if you offered sand toys for all the kiddos to use. In our hometown, everyone just thanks you, uses the toys, and even replenishes the basket as the toys break or disappear.

I am grateful to live on the park, Noni's park. There are so many sounds of families taking time out of their busy schedules to just be together. If there is a kickball game everyone is invited to join. Noni's park is a rare and wonderful place where everyone is happy, sharing, relaxed. I think seeing adults and children being so carefree out there is the biggest pleasure.

Needless to say, we keep our windows open all summer to enjoy the music of laughter. The TV rarely gets turned on as we would rather sit in the yard and talk to those who happen by or read and watch the memories unfold in our quaint little town, in our appreciated little park.
