Wearing Our Days To A Nub

We wore that day to a nub. That is what we used to say when all the 4 kids were home and life was full of carting them here and there, feeding their cute little faces and just being busy as a family of 6. Days are not quite so busy now but Ron and I still have many days that we wear right down to the nub.

Ron and I are blessed to have our wonderful family and all the teens and friends that we share our lives with. Today was definitely a day that we both were busy enough to insure sleep will come easy when our heads finally hit the pillow.

I found out 2 days ago that I needed to move from 1 classroom, on 1 side of the school I teach at, to another classroom on the other side of the school. Energy has not been my strong suit lately so I gave a call out on Facebook and through texts to rally my dependable teen friends to come give me a hand.

Smiths opens early so I had donuts and drinks bought early and was all set up for the move when kids began arriving at 9 am. We worked tirelessly loading and unloading boxes and moving everything from our enormous bean bag to the cozy green couch. By 3pm I was able to turn in the keys to my old room and look around my new classroom with a calm knowledge that I can count on such amazing people in my life. Tammy and Zach came to lend their help, but oh my teen friends that just show up and get busy.

My heart is full tonight of the love that each of them showed for just being there to lighten my load. I am grateful the work is complete but so much more grateful that I live my life fully and get to share it with all of you.

In Him,
Joyful
